Eleni Nicholas is a soprano from Durham, North Carolina. Her recent operatic performances include Thérèse / Tirésias from Poulenc's Les Mamelles de Tirésias with Opera at USC, Nuria (cover) in Golijov’s Ainadamar with Eastman Opera Theatre, Mother in Prestini’s Silent Light with Eastman Opera Theatre, and Feral Children’s Chorus in Shawn’s H&G: a great and terrible story with Eastman Opera Theatre.

As a recitalist, her most recent performances include a benefit recital on Signal Mountain, TN, a lieder recital in Rochester, NY, and a recital in her hometown of Durham, NC.

Eleni’s summer 2026 season began as an invited soloist performing “Glitter and be gay” from Bernstein's Candide at the Varna International Muzika! Festival. She then attended the Nief-Norf Summer Festival as a vocal fellow and concluded the summer with a vocal residency at the USC-Castleton Immersion Program.

In addition to her performance work, Eleni has a passion for arts administration. She serves as the Marketing and Social Media Director for USC’s Ears Wide Open concert series as well as assists the Director of Opera at USC.

Eleni is a student of Rachel Calloway and a second year Master’s student in Opera Theatre Performance at the University of South Carolina. She holds a BM in applied Voice Performance from the Eastman School of Music, where she was a student of Robert Swensen. She has performed in masterclass for soprano Karen Slack.
